WreckMate Pty Ltd (“WreckMate”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy of our customers and website visitors. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website and software platform.
We operate in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
We collect information you provide directly to us, including:
We also collect limited technical information automatically (such as browser type and pages visited) for the purpose of maintaining and improving the service. We do not use third-party tracking pixels or advertising cookies.
We use the information we collect to:
We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
Your operational data — inventory, customers, quotes, invoices and related records — is stored on dedicated server infrastructure located in Australia and operated by WreckMate. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information from unauthorised access, disclosure, or loss.
We use a small number of Microsoft services alongside that infrastructure: off-site backups are held in Microsoft Azure Storage in Australia (australiaeast, geo-redundant within Australia); transactional email is delivered by Azure Communication Services with its data location set to Australia; and sign-in and account identity are handled by Microsoft Entra External ID. Limited identity data (such as your sign-in address) may be processed by Microsoft outside Australia; where that occurs we rely on Microsoft's contractual data-protection commitments.
Third-party integration credentials — such as eBay, SMS and vehicle-data provider keys — are encrypted at rest using AES-256. All data transmission is over HTTPS.
We may share your information only in the following circumstances:
We do not disclose your inventory data, customer records, or pricing information to other WreckMate yards or any third party.
We may publish or share aggregated, de-identified statistics about overall platform activity (such as total parts sold or total transaction volume across all yards) for marketing and reporting purposes. These aggregates will never be derived from, or capable of identifying, any individual yard’s specific data — they are only published once a sufficient number of yards contribute to the total, so no single yard’s performance can be inferred.
WreckMate’s inter-yard network allows staff at one yard to search stock availability at other WreckMate yards. Only the existence of a part type and its availability status is visible to other yards — your pricing and customer data are never shared across the network.
You have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@wreckmate.com.au. We will respond within 30 days.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify active subscribers of material changes by email. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
